Cape Town’s Coastal Park Landfill Gas-to-Electricity Project and new Material Recovery Facility is the City’s flagship waste-to-energy and circular-economy initiative.  

The visit will highlight how the City is transforming waste into clean power, reducing methane emissions, strengthening energy security, and unlocking innovative revenue streams through carbon credits and resource recovery. Delegates will gain first-hand insight into one of South Africa’s leading examples of municipal climate action and sustainable urban infrastructure.
